Katelyn is part of the POB Leadership Team, ensuring expense control and productivity, both easily attained with her strong communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and autonomous work ethic.

Rich Riggs has been with Point of Beginning since 2008 as the Athletic Field Project Site Consultant. Rich earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Resource Management from University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. Rich has over 40+ years of experience in the green industry, specializing in Athletic Fields. His key areas are Design, Construction, and Maintenance Programs of all levels of fields including professional, college, and high schools.

Dan St. Pierre

Dan St. Pierre

Construction & Testing Manager

Dan St. Pierre has been with Point of Beginning since 2012. Dan earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Bradley University and is a licensed engineer in Wisconsin and Illinois. His day to day roles with POB involve overseeing the Materials Lab and Construction Administration Team, testing materials onsite and in the lab, and monitoring construction projects that can range from private, municipal, and DOT. His certifications in WisDOT Testing are as follows: Nucdensity, PCCTEC-I, AGGTEC-I, CST, TMS and ACI Tesing: Concrete Field Testing. Dan has 10 years’ experience of construction administration and 12 years’ experience of material testing making him one of POB’s decision makers.

Jim Lundberg

Jim Lundberg

Director of Engineering

Jim Lundberg has been with Point of Beginning since 2009 as the Director of Engineering. Within the past fifteen years, Jim has performed several tasks in completing various residential subdivision projects, including site planning, municipal, county, and state agency coordination, grading, public utility, stormwater management, and urban roadway design. Additionally, as project manager of multiple projects, he has coordinated the bidding process, solicited bids from contractors, overseen the construction, and reviewed contractor’s pay requests. Since he has been with the company, Jim has designed and managed various commercial, industrial, and institutional types of projects. These include medical, educational, retail, and industrial plants. His ability to design, manage, and coordinate is a clear asset to making a project successful. His expertise includes: Project Management, Storm Water Management/Design/Computation/Analysis, AutoCad Drafting, Site Planning, and Agency Coordination.

Professional Land Surveyor

Jordan Brost has been with Point of Beginning since 2013. Jordan graduated from Nicolet Area Technical College with a Associates Degree in Land Surveying and is now a PLS, Professional Land Surveyor. Prior to POB, a Land Surveying Firm out of Portage, Wisconsin employed Jordan and helped make him as knowledgeable as he is today.

Lindsey Beaman

Project & Marketing Coordinator

Lindsey Beaman has been with Point of Beginning since 2016. Lindsey graduated from University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business/Marketing. In her role with POB she focuses on management of projects and company branding.

Through her project management skills she’s able to support and manage multiple projects at a time, with responsibilities such as, developing proposals, site plan development assistance, bidding, sub-consultant coordination, schedule creation, budget preparation, contractual agreement setup, meeting coordination and the list goes on! Lindsey also co-leads the Fundraising Support group, assisting with 3-D animation/stile creation, development of customized promotional materials, website build-out and providing knowledge on implementing a successful campaign.

Lindsey truly believe that company branding is everything! She wants the POB brand to make a memorable impression on our Clients from the distinct logo, vibrant colors and employee swag. A few of her branding tasks include design and production of print and on-line marketing materials, vendor oversight, social media & website management.

Scott Groholski is the Co-Founder and President of Point of Beginning, Inc.

Scott established Point of Beginning in 2001, focusing the firm on civil engineering, land surveying, landscape architecture and materials testing. Scott’s day to day tasks include developing the firm’s growth and productivity initiatives within our markets, forming new and nurturing current business partnerships, overseeing office locations, enhancing POB’s presence within WI (and surrounding states) and providing support to the Team.

In 2002, Scott was awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year award from the Portage County Business Council and in 2015 the Distinguished Alumnus of the Year award from Wisconsin Technical College District Boards Association – Both awards complimenting his drive and passion towards POB.

Scott earned his Associates Degree in Civil Engineering Technology at Mid-State Technical College in Wisconsin Rapids and obtained his licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor in the state of Wisconsin. His expertise include State Agency Coordination, Local Agency Coordination, Construction Permit Preparation, Project Management, Construction Layout, Boundary Surveying, Topographic Mapping, and ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys.

Scott is a native of the Stevens Point area with his wife Patti, and six kids – Hunter, Brooke, Colton, Hailey, Courtney & Jacob.
