Project Overview

This project consisted of the redevelopment of approximately 12 acres, in the Town of Windsor, for the DeForest Area School District - approved via Referendum in April of 2015.

The scope of the project included demolition of a portion of the existing structure with an addition of a new 109,000 square foot building that includes a 2-story academic and administrative wing, a music/art room, cafeteria/commons area, and a gymnasium.

The exterior of the project will include development of three driveways from Windsor Road to provide building access. The first driveway is used as the main entry and exit of the new parent drop-off, also serving as the perimeter for the event parking lot. The second driveway is used as an entrance to the bus loop, which has the ability to accommodate 8 buses and provide a perimeter for the staff parking lot. The third driveway serves as the bus loop exit, providing access to the hard-surface playground and receiving area. Also included was associated entry statements and new curb cuts for the right turn lane expansion at Windsor Road.
