Professional Landscape Architect

Dan Peplinski has been with Point of Beginning since 2011. Dan earned a degree in Landscape Architecture at Mid-State Technical College and is a RLA, Registered Professional Landscape Architect. His roles with POB are leading and assisting in the coordination of project design. Dan can do anything from preliminary concept planning to creating final construction documents and soliciting bids from contractors. Dan also works with the construction managers to ensure the site project coincides with the design documents and specifications. He comes from a 15 year background of project managing and lead designing in the commercial, retail, park, school, and athletic field areas.

In Dan’s spare time he likes to hit the gym, complete house projects, boat in the summer, and watch as much live music as he can.

Jim Lundberg

Jim Lundberg

Director of Engineering

Jim Lundberg has been with Point of Beginning since 2009 as the Director of Engineering. Within the past fifteen years, Jim has performed several tasks in completing various residential subdivision projects, including site planning, municipal, county, and state agency coordination, grading, public utility, stormwater management, and urban roadway design. Additionally, as project manager of multiple projects, he has coordinated the bidding process, solicited bids from contractors, overseen the construction, and reviewed contractor’s pay requests. Since he has been with the company, Jim has designed and managed various commercial, industrial, and institutional types of projects. These include medical, educational, retail, and industrial plants. His ability to design, manage, and coordinate is a clear asset to making a project successful. His expertise includes: Project Management, Storm Water Management/Design/Computation/Analysis, AutoCad Drafting, Site Planning, and Agency Coordination.

Brian “Gus” Jurgella

Brian “Gus” Jurgella

Machine Control Services Technician

Brian Jurgella, AKA Gus, has been with Point of Beginning since 2012. Brian’s roles with Point of Beginning are creating 3D models that are utilized in machine control grading and quantity takeoffs of jobs for estimating. Brian is able to do his job so well because before his time here with POB he was involved with excavating in the heavy civil construction industry while also being able to utilize machine control – making him a now expert in his field.
