High School – This project scope consisted of reconfiguration/expanded parking, stadium improvements to include sprint lane expansion, new home bleachers and concession/restroom/storage building and an indoor turf practice facility addition to the high school.
Middle School – This project scope consisted of resurfacing the existing parking lot/drop off and new concrete sidewalk.
Intermediate School – This project scope consisted of a new middle school building with a parent drop-off area, visitor parking and a new playground.
Elementary School – This project scope consisted of an expansion to the parking lot, new concrete sidewalk, a playground and new softball fields with concession/restroom building.

Deforest Area School District – Windsor Elementary

Project Overview

This project consisted of the redevelopment of approximately 12 acres, in the Town of Windsor, for the DeForest Area School District - approved via Referendum in April of 2015.

The scope of the project included demolition of a portion of the existing structure with an addition of a new 109,000 square foot building that includes a 2-story academic and administrative wing, a music/art room, cafeteria/commons area, and a gymnasium.

The exterior of the project will include development of three driveways from Windsor Road to provide building access. The first driveway is used as the main entry and exit of the new parent drop-off, also serving as the perimeter for the event parking lot. The second driveway is used as an entrance to the bus loop, which has the ability to accommodate 8 buses and provide a perimeter for the staff parking lot. The third driveway serves as the bus loop exit, providing access to the hard-surface playground and receiving area. Also included was associated entry statements and new curb cuts for the right turn lane expansion at Windsor Road.

DeForest Area School District – Eagle Point Elementary

Project Overview

This project consisted of the redevelopment of approximately 10 acres, in the Village of DeForest, for the DeForest Area School District - approved via Referendum in April of 2015.

The scope included the demolition of the existing 98,000 square foot building and a new building addition of like-size that included a 2-story academic wing, kindergarten, gymnasium, cafeteria/commons area, and administrative space. The building exterior compliments the building design, starting with an event parking lot, receiving entrance, and hard-surface playground area, accessible from N. Cleveland Avenue.

A new bus loop with the ability to accommodate 8 buses, with separate entry and exit to E. Holum Street, provides safe student access into the new cafeteria/commons area. N. Johnson Street access drive serves as a dual entry to new staff parking as well as parent drop-off flanked by 29 visitor parking spaces. At the corner of N. Cleveland Avenue and E. Park Avenue, a large green spaces lay, along with associated curb and entry statements.

Project Overview

This project consisted of Point of Beginning providing survey / design services for the construction of a new High School. The project included the construction of an educational facility, which consisted of classrooms, offices, auditorium, cafeteria, and gymnasium, two parking lots with associated drives, bus drop off area, parent drop off area, and a stormwater detention pond.

Independence Community School District

Project Overview

This project consisted of Point of Beginning working side-by-side with the Architect and School District and providing survey / design services for the construction of a new High School/Middle School. The project included the construction of a 170,000 square foot educational facility, which consisted of classrooms, offices, auditorium, cafeteria, and gymnasium, three parking lots with associated drives, and a storm water management facility. Point of Beginning provided design for a water loop around the building to service a series of fire hydrants to ensure fire protection.

This project also consisted of providing design and construction services for the installation of new synthetic turf at Leinbaugh Field and tennis courts & a baseball/softball facility at the high school. The project included the installation of turf inside the entire oval, including the “D” areas at Leinbuagh Field, excavation work, fencing, lighting, & gravel parking lot at the tennis courts, and a 300 car parking lot with adjacent drive way and storm water management pond at the baseball/softball fields. The existing site at Leinbaugh Field included a recently replaced track, which the district opted to maintain. The lining of the synthetic turf included both football and soccer sports. This project also included the updated modifications to the site’s existing storm water management system.
