Construction Technician

Colton Groholski has been with Point of Beginning since 2018. Colton is currently working towards attaining a Bachelors Degree in Project Management along with an Associates Degree in Civil Engineering Technology-Technician.

In his role with POB he work in the Athletics/K-12 division assisting with project progression along with working in the Concrete Testing division assisting in administration activities.

Lead Driller

Dakota Ciriacks has been with POB since June of 2023. Dakota is a lead driller for the company who takes soil borings at sites to evaluate soil, rock, and ground water conditions within a given depth and location. He has past experience as a drill helper at Nummelin Testing Services.

Construction/Design Engineer

Aaron Walters has been with Point of Beginning since 2023. Aaron graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. In his role as a Construction/Design Engineer he focuses on being a lead inspector on construction jobs.

Aaron had two internships throughout his time in school, one with the City of Neenah and the other with Mead Hunt. During his time with the City of Neenah from 2019-2022, Aaron helped with land surveying, construction staking, design work, and GIS. During his time with Mead and Hunt he was the inspector for the WisDOT STH 32 & STH 22 project located in Oconto County in summer of 2022.

Landscape Architect

Alexis Kautzman has been with Point of Beginning since 2021. Alexis graduated from North Dakota State University with her Master of Architecture. She also received her Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Minnesota.

In her role with POB, she works on the production of construction drawings, coordination of permit submittals and permit preparation, as well as ordinance/code research and some small construction management items. She also works/assists on the design of landscape architecture plans.

When Alexis is not at work you can find her relaxing playing video games, creating dioramas, antique hunting or growing vegetables and plants. Alexis likes to discover new places whether that is new coffee shops, parks or trails.

Design Engineer – EIT – Design Tab

Joseph Olson has been with Point of Beginning since 2022. Joseph graduated from the University of North Dakota with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. In his role with Point of Beginning, he focuses on assisting with civil designs, permitting, and storm drainage analyses.

Prior to Point of Beginning Joseph worked in North Dakota and Minnesota as a Survey Crew Chief and Engineering Technician for AE2S, WSN, and WFW. Joseph has experience with coordinating locates, gathering field data, staking files setup, and construction workmanship verification.
